Examples of a variety of projects in Natura 2000 sites; Energy projects, roads, housing, water supply schemes and quarries.
Participants will be able to:
Understand what is required under Appropriate Assessment
Assess projects in an informed and professional manner.
Identify what is required in an assessment and be able to specify clearly what information they require from specialists.
Differentiate between various nature conservation designations.
Identify qualifying interests of Natura 2000 sites.
Course Materials All talks will be fully illustrated with hand-outs and information on CD will be provided for future reference.
